        Expands the enterprise zones law to include businesses
        engaged in research, development, sale, or production
        of all types of genetically-engineered medical,
        agricultural, or maritime biotechnology products; call
        centers; and businesses that repair assisted
        technology equipment.

HB 2607 HD2      RELATING TO HIGH TECHNOLOGY       ECD, WAM
        Enhances the tax benefits provided in Act 178, SLH
        1999 for qualified high technology businesses.

HB 2204 HD2      RELATING TO ETHANOL               ECD, WAM
        Provides an income tax credit for the production of
        fuel grade ethanol produced at a qualifying ethanol
        production facility located in Hawaii.

        Requires the Department of Agriculture to conduct
        mandatory survey and sampling of Porcine Respiratory
        and Reproductive Syndrome (PRRS) in the swine industry

        Appropriates funds for agricultural research and
        development to be performed by the Hawaii Agriculture
        Research Center.

        FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MANUFACTURING EXTENSION
        PROGRAMS
        Appropriates funds for the establishment of
        manufacturing extension programs in Hawaii.

HB 2802  RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL        ECD, WAM
        PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR PROCESSING ENTERPRISES
        Authorizes special purpose revenue bonds for the
        planning and construction of a multi-function facility
        for food processing.

HB 3014 HD1      RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDSECD,
WAM
        Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue
        bonds to Rickmar Properties, Inc. for the purpose of
        constructing a district cooling facility and pipeline
        distribution system in downtown Honolulu.

islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
